Thanks for the information.
I tried this code, it worked if I am opening the app directly but if I launch the app from FIORI launchpad, the code is not working and focus is not getting set.
My observation is that when we launch app from lanchpad, something is overidding the focus of the field but when we launch the app directly, the focus is getting set appropriately.
Just to mention, I am using scaffloding template and there are certain FIORI framework methods like "onBeforeRefndering" and "onAfterRendering" etc which gets called in a sequence. I have placed the code for focus in "onAfterRendering" but I think after this method also, something else is getting called by FIORI launchpad framework which is reseting the focus.
Can you please help here.
